SCORP APPROVED? YOU GOT IT!
We're back. Hard. After a brief hiatus from book club lore, the Scorps came back with a pretty solid outing in early December.
As noted, it took us forever to finally get around to meeting up to read this, but it was worth the wait (I think). After meeting at the tam we went to watch some comedy at remington's but saw the scene and fled across the street to sweetwater for some pbrs and burgers.
As far as book discussions go, it was one of our better ones. This is a solid book to try and poke holes in, think about alternative situations and generally wonder what the F you'd do if a giant shark started eating the memories of your hot, dead girlfriend. THE SPANIARD had already read it a few months prior, so he was absolutely worthless in any kind of ingelligent discussions.
Overall, half the Scorps liked it a lot while half said it was less than average. UNDEAD swore it was the best book we've ever read while TANAKA couldn't decide if he liked it or not. Typical.
Shackleton won the challenge and we'll be reading INHERENT VICE sometime next year.
